MCP · CLI · APIIn development
Your ledger, inside your AI chat.
Developers live in Claude Code, Cursor and ChatGPT. So WhoOwnsWhat.xyz will too: log costs, check balances and fix ownership without opening a dashboard.
MCP server
The Model Context Protocol is an open standard that lets AI assistants use outside tools. Connect WhoOwnsWhat.xyz once, then talk to it in plain English.
It will work with any MCP client, including Claude, Claude Code, Cursor and ChatGPT.
We're starting a hackathon project called pixelpals. Me and Ana, 50/50.
whoownswhat_create_project
Done: pixelpals, you and Ana at 50/50, hackathon mode ends Sunday 18:00. I sent Ana an invite.
Planned tools
| Tool | What it does |
|---|---|
whoownswhat_create_project | Create a project, add teammates and set the split |
whoownswhat_add_cost | Log a cost: item, amount, who paid, monthly or one-off |
whoownswhat_balance | Who owes whom right now |
whoownswhat_settle_link | A Revolut, PayPal or Wise link for the amount owed |
whoownswhat_assets | Who owns, pays for and can recover each asset |
whoownswhat_handover_plan | Step-by-step transfer list when someone leaves |
CLI
One command connects your AI tools to a project. Handy at a hackathon: share it in the team chat and everyone is in.
$ npx whoownswhat mcp add --project yourproject
REST API
Everything the app does, over HTTPS with a project token. Build your own dashboards, bots or scripts.
For hackathons
Agents write most of the code at a modern hackathon. Let them keep the books too. See the hackathon kit.
MCP, CLI and API access are planned for the Real project plan. Names and commands on this page may change before release.
