Privacy policy
Short version: we collect your email only if you join the waitlist, we don't use analytics or ad trackers, and you can ask us to delete your data anytime.
This policy covers the WhoOwnsWhat.xyz website and its free tools. The WhoOwnsWhat.xyz app is not live yet. We will update this policy before it launches.
Who we are
This website is run by WhoOwnsWhat.xyz, an independent project based in Poland ("we"). It is not a registered company yet. Questions about privacy: hi@whoownswhat.xyz.
What we collect and why

We don't use analytics, advertising pixels, or tracking cookies on this website. We don't sell your data.
Legal basis
Where data protection laws such as the GDPR apply: we process your waitlist email based on your consent, which you can withdraw anytime. We process technical request data based on our legitimate interest in running a secure website.
Who processes data for us
- Website hosting: Vercel Inc. serves the site and keeps short-term request logs.
- Waitlist form: Supabase (database hosted in Frankfurt, Germany) stores waitlist signups.
- Fonts: Google Fonts delivers the typefaces. Your browser connects to Google's servers, which receive your IP address and browser details.
Some of these providers may process data outside your country, including in the United States, under their own data transfer safeguards.
Storage in your browser
The free checklists remember which boxes you ticked using your browser's local storage. That data stays on your device; we never receive it. Clear it anytime from your browser settings.
Free Google Sheet
When you copy the free project ledger, the copy lives in your own Google account. We can't see it.
Your rights
You can ask us to access, correct, export or delete your data, or object to how we use it. Email hi@whoownswhat.xyz and we'll reply within 30 days. You can also complain to a data protection authority: in Poland, the President of the Personal Data Protection Office (UODO), or the authority in the EU country where you live.
Changes
We'll post changes here and update the date above. If a change affects how we use your waitlist email, we'll tell you by email first.
